Thanks A a good trick is to feed them in the crown with miricalgrow or similar
once a month ,this produces more fronds.

someone suggested pouring a can of coke in the crown...what a waste...so it got a drink of sugared water and after 3/4 days lo and behold a bit of green appeared. Will try the feed though...thanks
