This looks a lot like the one in GF's blog of "Watch the birdie".he has that one coming out of it's nymph shell on there..they must both be the female southern hawkers....very interesting and a great shot Toto..

Only slightly. I only found out by looking it up in my book but apparently the spots on segments 8 & 10 on the male are blue.

Thanks Newfie. I started years ago but it was only when I got my first digital camera about five years ago that I could afford to take enough shots to make it worthwhile as I have so many failed shots that film processing would have been too expensive.
