Thanks Gee. Don't you think that all insects are so incredibly beautiful. So muct perfect detail in such a small creature. If you notice, this one has a small fly in its jaws.

Lovely photo can you tell me I seen one simular to this but thinner and it had yellow flecks on its wings would this be the same .it was on the leaf of my cherry tree or have you any idea what it would of been please

Hi Morgana. I've checked in my book and there are a couple of Sawflies which mayconform to your description. One is "Tenthredo Arcuata" and the other is "Tenthredo Scrophulariae". I hope this helps.
