After 3-4 weeks absence, little Hoppity was back in the garden yesterday morning (with Freaky) and a little sparrow that seems to follow her about! I was so pleased to see her. Her tail still hasn't grown yet but she seems plump and healthy :)

Thanks Suey, don't know if you know the story - this little blackbird had a damaged leg. The foot has dropped off now but she has still managed to raise a brood. I was really glad to see her again :)

Cracking pic G & a great story. We get 3-4 blackbirds - 2 male, 2 female back and fore and one female in particular always jumping round on front lawn. She has a broken tail feather by look of it but I sit for ages watching her! The birds out the back garden are a joy when you're sat out there on a warm evening or sunny day.

Lovely to see Hoppity back and looking well. She must have enjoyed her rest. I bet Freakie knew where she was hidden. Our blackbird is moulting too. He was trying to sunbath but the sun kept going behind clouds. He spent a whole half hour posing in strange positions with an open beak and all fluffed up. Posted some pics of him today. Not as good as Hoppity's portrait.

You can see the little sparrow to the left of the birdtable sharing the goodies.
