Thanx all :) Dear Popeye Mike sent me 3 of these 4 my Wild Garden Area :)

How tall is it Jacque? I have one in the garden which I grew from seed collected from a 4ft plant in the wild which is now about 9ft high. I didn't realise that they got this big.

OMG Toto uv got a Monster Teasel Growing there ! Mine is only 3ft & other 2 about 2ft :)

Keep the camera handy Jacque,they attract bullfinch don't they ?

I don't know about Bullfinch Aster but the Goldfinches love them.

Plenty of seeds to go around anyway lol , they are probably the ones I was thinking of Toto :) I've only just noticed the little insect too Jacque,looks like they will be very popular :))

Have some grown from seed this year...hoping to plant out soon near thistles.If our goldfinches go for them will save a fortune on niger seed !

Bullfinches r the only Birds i dont get Aster :/ I saw 1 of My Goldfinches sitting on a Thistle in the Nettle Area Toto/ Jane /Ray a few days ago & his/her beak was full of the Little Fluffy Seeds :) Glad u enjoyd this Pic 2 Janette /Sandra :)

I saw one very early on in the year in the wild in Perthshire but I think it must he been last years as it was dry and brittle looking .

Yes it sounds like it Mac :) Goldfinches r ment to love these thats why iv planted some in my Garden as i get a good 5/6 who visit me now :)

Wow i've got some teasel, that i planted this year but got a feeling it may flower next year.

Something 2 look forward to Clarice :) these were sent as small plants so theyv done well really :)

The lady next door has some teasels growing in her garden and they are mauve at the moment.
