The Portuguese call them 'Back to School' because they bloom when it's time for the kids to go back to school.

A dreamy flowers. Do they fade quickly after being cut?

I really don't know. I don't have any cut flowers or pots of plants indoors because of my cats. I never know what they will get up to during the the night - the seeds that I start are done inside clear plastic boxes with lids and tied to the shelves, and they like to sleep on top of the boxes.

I save the discipline for when it matters - staying off the cooking areas. But one of them has discovered my dutch iris flowers, and I find them in shreds. No attacks on the daylilies - yet.
