My Aquilegia in the sheltered back garden have been flowering for a fortnight, the ones in the front, not. Catches the wind along the road. My Iris, the reverse!

We live on the top of a hill here, and catch the breezes. I plant them between the hostas and other perennial plants to help give them some sort of protection.

I love the spurred ones, only ones in flower here yet are ones grown from seed sent by Tommymoo , although 'Magpie's' nearly there.

I love Aquilegia, and they flower for a long time. I love the variety of colours too, although mine aren't quite in flower yet.
