Looks more like a shrub Drc, I've grown one this year from seed 'Felicia Filifolia' its a sprawling shrub and has aster like flowers, grown really well but no flowers this year, not sure how hardy it is, have around 15 plants so think I'll try some outside and put others in greenhouse.

This is definitely an 'Aster 'lateriflorus Horizontalis' Simbad - though it does look a bit like a 'Felicia Filifolia'

Oh dear - do 'you' think it's like mine, Denise?

Yes I do Spritz except yours appears taller?

Yes, I think it is. I do think I've named it right, too, so I'm not changing it now. If the name IS wrong, does it really matter? It's still a lovely plant.

Looking at the photos I would have said you've both got the same one . I have 3. The shapes are a bit haphazard--the one in shade tends to sprawl about a bit. Either 2 of them are seedlings from the first one or I've sliced off bits of root when moving things. I love them and so do the bees!

That could be why my plant is a bit more sprawly, Penny - it's facing east. Thanks! :-))

Mine's just about to flower - is yours, Denise?
23 Sep, 2011
Yes I have just put another photo of it on here Spritz.

Good - and how are you now, D?
23 Sep, 2011
I am much better again Spritz. I get recurrent Endocarditis from time to time and sometimes I get blood in my heart called 'Cardiac Tamponarde', which is of course a real problem when it happens. I got a real telling off this time as I waited 18 hours before asking for help.

Tsk, tsk, Denise! I'm sorry to hear that. I do hope you recover quickly - but take it easy, won't you. xx
23 Sep, 2011
I am taking it easy Spritz as my family are putting the brakes on lol
24 Sep, 2011
Good for them. :-))
