Calodendrum capense - Cape Chestnut

Calodendrum capense - Cape Chestnut (Calodendrum capense - Cape Chestnut)

Cape Chestnut (not a true chestnut but in the citrus family - Rutaceae) is a tropical tree native from South to eastern Africa which has beautiful pink and lilac flowers. It's a relatively slow growing tree....however, will grow very tall and even wider in time. Photo taken July 2, 2010.
