Wow, is that a very early one? Mine has a few tiny buds at the moment. I used to have a gorgeous 'Bill McKenzie' but sadly, he didn't thrive.

I too have a tangutica, but the flowers seem to remain lantern shaped. I think I prefer the more open flowers.

This has had a few flowers all summer Shirley but its really got going in the past couple of weeks, you know I can't remember when it usually starts properly but sure it's usually September where as another I have 'Korean Beauty' that usually flowers the same time is like yours still tiny buds.
Could get you seed later Siris? ;-)

I have 3 C Bill McKenzie from seed, in different locations. I think mine, which is now flowering is due to the aspect. So I will pass on the seed thanks Simbad.
