I am going to have to take the hemerocallis out. It is a miniature Steela D'Or but it is far too big for this size sink. I rescued the sink when my daughter bought a flat in Jesmond. It was in the garden there. She could not take it with her and we always said she would get it back when she had somewhere to put it but the next move gave her another sink in the garden so she said I could keep this one. The planting is the result of trial and error Scotkat. I make sure I keep it weed free Grandmage because it is a real nuisance trying to pry roots out of clumpy plants like these saxifrage and dianthus.

Now I can see how tiny that little pretty is...nic...I don't know people just throw those belfast:butler sinks out, they're an arm and a leg to buy even second hand...

I love it Crissue. I did think of supertufing it but I think it is quite nice as it is. I may eventually paint it. I attended a basic gardening course at Suntrap Garden near Edinburgh. We made fish box planters. I have another small flowered dianthus in it. I think it is going to be bright pink so I can put it in where I remove the hemerocallis.

I have posted a blog today on how I used more fish boxes. I find them really useful.
