Banyan Tree

Banyan Tree (Ficus benghalensis (Banyan))

This is a neat tree. It can grow trunks from the roots that grow down from the branches. I have seen a really old one that you can walk between the trunks. Ficus benghalensis

So if I plant that potted ficus from the office and let it go wild, will it look like this in 20 years. :)

This is a very beautiful Banyan Tree! (Ficus bengalensis). I have one in a pot that's 8 feet tall...it will never go in the ground however. My tree was 1.5 feet tall only a little more than a year ago. They grow slower here in San Diego...however, will still get too large for most home gardens.
