Double Snowdrop

siris

By Siris

Double Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis floro plena)

The only Double Snowdrop, that I can find, around the pond. Must have been weeded out when the pond area was altered. Marked for safety now.

Put a flower pot over it after it has bloomed Sue it will stop you digging up to plant something else there ...

Not seen our double no doubt planted on top of it!!

Did, I did put the snowdrop bulbs elsewhere in the garden when I weeded the pond area, but not come to light yet.

Found a second one, at the front of the semi circular Iris border, today, probably 3 together.

Just a question of waiting for them to flower, to see where I put them. Hb.

Know the feeling, I really ought to be more organised, the problem is, if there is a space it has to have a plant in it, never mind what came up three months ago, I cannot remember where plants are, because I am always moving them!

Dd, if a plant is new, when I put it in my virtual garden I note it's position and so far if it has been moved so have the words.

I have every label of every plant, ever purchased !! amounting to about two thousand labels!! I would imagine we have lost at least 2 hundred perhaps even more, each year I say to Peter...we really must go through those labels, but the thought of it, and so it goes on and on lol

That's the problem with opening the garden for NGS, Dd, I believe, when you are 'vetted' they don't like labels everywhere, especially white ones.

Siris that's true, although the black ones are more acceptable......

That's what I heard, although I have no intention of putting my garden forward, too small and not user friendly, people would have to have small feet yet be well balanced!

Ha ha...
