Karen, get some bulbs first, from a local garden centre, then bulk up from seed, that's quicker.

Nearly sent for some of these, such unusual colours......but resisted the temptation.....!!

It is interesting .... but needs placing with a pale background so the flowers show up and those thin strappy leaves are about a foot in length. I've got mine around the front of a brick edging so those leaves just lie on the path not on other vegetation. In a planter might be an idea so the leaves just droop over the edge.
