It's an evergreen plant - and it flowers for ages. One for your garden?

I think you might be right there Spritz! I'll have to look in my magic book to see how big it gets!
13 Dec, 2009
Should be in there - (no it's NOT!) It grows to a max. height of 12" x 16 " spread.
13 Dec, 2009
Hmmmm I think I should add this to my wish list for next year!
13 Dec, 2009
It is a beautiful plant.

Oh, Spritzhenry, you have the Iberis buds...now?! Great! Have some plants of it grown from the seeds, hope to flower next year...Love this plant!
14 Dec, 2009
So do I, Uma - and I hope the colder weather forecast for the end of the week doesn't destroy the buds!
14 Dec, 2009
I hope your weather will be better than ours....this night we are going to have -12 C degrees...hope very much the weather will not destroy the plants! :)
14 Dec, 2009
Good luck!
No - we won't get such low temperatures here. These buds may very well open. :-)
14 Dec, 2009
It will be beautiful and so unusual for this season...
14 Dec, 2009

9 Jan, 2010

9 Jan, 2010
I can't tell at the moment - no thaw in sight, and more s**w threatened for tomorrow. I shall be counting my casualties once it's all gone, though. :-((((
9 Jan, 2010
well lets hope there isnt any barbara
9 Jan, 2010
Have you seen the forecast? YUK! :-(((
9 Jan, 2010
yes i have but not sure we will get more snow here barbara, but strong artic winds probably bbbrrr, i keep checking its a nightmare for buisness, all my clients are cancelling so no work no monet either ;o(
9 Jan, 2010
It's trying to snow here this morning - small flakes and a half-hearted attempt. I hope it doesn't come down like it did last week! :-((((( Poor you, Sandra - but it's understandable, I suppose.
My church service has been cancelled due to the icy conditions - it's just not safe to drive through our lanes.
10 Jan, 2010
lots predicted barbara today and tomoz so hope you dont get to much, over 26 dead now with this weather, so sad a 90 years old lady found in her garden in barnsley, how sad is that,
10 Jan, 2010
I thought that was so very sad - the two guys who decided to walk on the ice was also dreadful, but maybe they should have thought about the warnings first. That poor lady, though - to end her life like that....
10 Jan, 2010
i couldnt understand why the men would go on the ice, its something people just dont do here, also a women in her 40`s died to, i think she had been out but not sure why she was found unconsious, but died in hospital, its quite scarey, the old lady must have had a fall and not been able to get up, so very sad, wish more young people would check on their neighbours in this weather
10 Jan, 2010
Quite agree. We phoned our friend aged 92 across the lane before we went shopping on Thursday - she only asked for a couple of things, and when my husband went to deliver them, she'd had so many people offering help it had been like a party in there! That's what living in a small community is like - just wonderful. :-)))
10 Jan, 2010
yes your right, everyone is great in our village and always there if you need them, how kind of you to help her barbara ;o)
10 Jan, 2010
I don't think of it as kindness - she's a lovely person, and it would be nice to think that people would help us if we needed it - which has happened!
10 Jan, 2010
yes i know barbara, i would always hope that someone would help me when ever a time i cant help myself
10 Jan, 2010
:-))) That's what families are for! (I hope!)
10 Jan, 2010
depends on the family barbara lol i wont hold my breath with certain members in mine hahah
10 Jan, 2010
Oh don't, Sandra! I do know that my two rose to the occasion in that awful year when my mum was so ill and then her passing. They were wonderful. I couldn't have wished for more support! :-))))))
10 Jan, 2010
im glad to hear that barbara, im sure my boys would help me, but not sure with my sister and parents, my 2 brothers are great and we are close, so just hope thats enough lol, baz`s kids, 2 good and 1 not good, so think we may be ok :o))
10 Jan, 2010
Nice to know - I certainly needed both practical help and emotional support that year, and got it in buckets! :-)))
10 Jan, 2010
i cant imagine what it was like for you barbara, being so close to your mum, i sometimes wonder how i would feel, its strange when you spend your life trying to get close but it never happens :o( i was very close to my grandad on mums side, he was the best granparent anyone could have, i spent most of my free time as a child with him gardening,, i was devastated when he went and still miss him very much.
10 Jan, 2010
It gets better but never goes away, doesn't it.
10 Jan, 2010
thats very true barbara, i try to focus on the happy memories and joy the person brought, makes me smile, it will take time for you but yes it will get less painfull and im sure your mum would want you to carry on as you always did and enjoy what you have now :o))
10 Jan, 2010
I'm trying....I get hugs when I need them, too. That's what husbands are for, isn't it!
10 Jan, 2010
certainly is barbara, would give you one myself if i could reach that far :o)) xx
10 Jan, 2010
Awwwww......thanks! I think you just did, Sandra! :-)))))) xx
10 Jan, 2010
YW barbara, take care x
10 Jan, 2010
:-)

Hi Sanbaz
sorry just saw your question re my greenhouse.
not doing too badly ; some cuttings and soft herbs are doing well. I feel a blog coming on this week................:)
I have a heated mat which has taken the edge off the temperature Last week I confess to putting the heater on for a while.
More snow due here tomorrow - great. But I hope it will be too warm to settle.
11 Jan, 2010
no probs RM, i miss things at times when alot of comments after, glad your plants doing well , do hope you dont get any more snow , ours almost gone now but bitter winds here which makes it seem even colder bbbrrr, good luck
12 Jan, 2010
Oh guess what, Sandra - not only has ours NOT gone, but...........it's snowing hard out there! I could SCREAM!! %-O
12 Jan, 2010
oh no! poor you, i thought it was easing off now all across country,,
12 Jan, 2010
Wanna bet? It's across the SW and Wales. YUK! :-(((((
12 Jan, 2010
glad we havent got anymore, just freezing winds here today, bites through you bbrrr
12 Jan, 2010
The forecast says more s**w tonight and tomorrow, then the temps might rise a bit after that, so I'm hoping for a thaw. Fingers crossed! :-))
12 Jan, 2010
well they did say it would only last till midweek then get better so hope so barbara, had enough of it now, keep warm and take care ;o)
12 Jan, 2010
