Justicia bandegeana - Shrimp Plant

You've reminded me I used to have one of theses as a houseplant many years ago. Such an attractive plant!

Childhood memories for me as my Nan had one as a house plant. It fascinated me as a child.

You don't see these much anymore. Ever since the last drought years plants around homes have changed a bit.

Beautiful plant, Andy! I've see these here but I've never grown them.

There’s many varieties of this plant growing in the landscape here. Some have redder or lighter red, some pink and then there’s the yellow form.

That’s strange, this plant used to be very common in Hayward and throughout the SF Bay Area.
