The smaller Sausage tree at Foster's Botanical Garden in Honolulu, HI. The larger tree was more than 60 feet / 20 meters tall...I couldn't fit it into my camera lens. Photo taken August 4, 2009. This is for my GoY friend Terratoonie.

Jaderose, Thanks!
Bernieh: Yes, I'm waiting for Terratoonie's comments.
Rbtkew: Foster's Botanical Garden is the oldest botanical
garden in Hawaii. It is located in downtown Honolulu, HI...I think is was established circa 1850. It has many old large speciment trees.
Sandra:
It is definitely one to put on the wish list...However, Lyon Botanical Garden and the Ho'omaluhia Garden which is my favorite is a must because they are located in the tropical rain forest.

Sandra:
Thank you so much! I think that's one of the biggest reasons for a garden website...to learn through other peoples garden experiences. : > )

This is the small tree at Foster's Botanical Garden.
There's larger ones growing here in San Diego than this one in this photo.

Yes, I posted this photo for you back in August after my return trip from Hawaii.
However, I know this was during a very difficult period of time for you. I'm glad you found it! : > )

Hi Delonix... Thank you.
Yes, from time to time I come across members' photos from last spring and summer, and I think....How did I miss this ? Then I realise it was when I had worries taking my attention away from GoY.

Terratoonie:
It actually was amazing you had time for comments on GoY during Conker's illness. I'm not sure if I would have. I'm just so glad it's behind you now!

Thanks, Delonix...
Conker has a one in ten chance of staying cancer-free, so we must just keep positive. :o)

Terratoonie:
