I find mine to be quit useful. I cut one back this year to almost ground level as it was outgrowing its space, and its come back, no problem at all.

Thats handy to know Dawn, haven't tried cutting mine back yet as aren't too big, yet, have got a silver and green one too, well it was but just kept sending up green branches kept cutting them off to stop it reverting but in the end didn't have hardly any of the pretty coloured branches left, it may have to come out I think as the green form is just too rampant, this one doesn't seem to do that though.

Shame the silver and green one reverted. The one I cut back was quite big and was encroaching more and more - thought it would kill it but as I say, it was fine. Looks nice against your grasses Kathy.

A lovely structural shrub. Mine doesn`t seem to mind being chopped about a bit.

I have 3 small loniceras in tubs. I think they also had 'lemon' or something on their labels. Didn't realise they grow so big, but pleased they do.

See who else is growing Lonicera nitida (Shrubby honeysuckle).
See who else has plants in genus Lonicera.
