No idea mum, only just got it today. I have never cared much for grasses before, but after all this time I seem to have had a change of heart. I think it is partly because they are so good in the autumn, but also because they combine so well with other plants and give you great movement and height. I'm really getting in to them now!

Course you are Karen, they're fabulous! I looked at these
dark ones a few days ago, you've got it planted with the perfect contrast colour, lovely.

Have grown this for years K and they do have flowers, very insignificant, and they multiply quickly, looks beautiful with yellow foliage, pleased you are coming around to grasses, they are wonderful plants, so many varieties, I love them all.......

My mum has been offering me these for years and I have always turned them down till I saw some in a light Terracotta pot, now I have got my order in with her ready for my next visit! Good old mum, always prepared to dig and divide for me :o))

Yes, partly the bad summer Carole, they are some of the 'looks good all year round' plants. Especially the Carex which are tough as old boots and very bright too. Some of the Pennisetums seem a bit less hardy though. What I really want is some Canadian Cotton Grass, which has orange cotton-like flowers, but I can't get a hold of it anywhere, in spite of seeing it at Chelsea a few years ago!
