Pontederia cordata

By Siris

Pontederia cordata (Pontederia cordata (Pickerel weed))

This Pontederia has migrated to the bottom pond, which needs a good clear out. It is competing for space in the top pond with my Sarracenias, needs thinning out there too.

Very pretty. Oh dear I think cleaning out a pond has got to be the worst garden job. More power to your elbow...

I agree, it's a filthy job. Cleaning the ponds is well overdue. I didn't do them last year as they were well netted against predatory crows.

It’s a nice looking plant, pretty flowers and nice healthy green leaves too. We have a small pond..OH has this task.
