That's beautiful, not seen anything like it before...

I've got the 'ordinary' one, which has been in my garden for a few years now, and I found this at the plant fair on Saturday, so it came home with me. :-)) I see that Burncoose has two different ones, as well. (The advert has popped up on the right of my screen!)

Thats a lovely variety how hardy is it? I lost another variety 2 years ago and would like to have another try.

PH - I've got Red Leopard, and it's come through the last two winters. It was planted in July 2011

I might have known that Andrew would have it. He and I seem to have very similar tastes in plants! lol. Nice to hear that it's hardy in his garden. :-))

I don't really like the third one on the Burncoose list, Homebird! Not very 'special', and very expensive.

Oh dear has it got measles lol. What a happy plant to have in your garden. I should smile every time i saw it if it was here.

I've found they are fairly easy-going plants BUT they must NEVER be allowed to be dry at the root

Thanks for that, Andrew. Not much danger down here in the wet SW!!

Oh I do like this, we have one but it is not as pretty as this, still it survived the winter, so that was a bonus.

Lovely photo Spritz....just have to report that Bill Wallis has survived the harsh winter and is putting on new growth ahead of the daffs !! Will post a pic when in bloom ...:)

That's good news.:-))) Has he seeded himself?

Dd, my other one is rather a boring colour compared with this new one! It's been in several years now.
