The Man.

The man( known as the husband ) is such an amazing man !! I mean he works away 5 days and nights, lives in his truck at the side of a road, then comes home to me and my garden.
He puts up with so much from me and the garden demands.
Everything is always complicated in the house. No access to the garden except through the bedroom and then lots of steps outside. I bet us female gardeners would be lost without our unsung heroes.

I am constantly reminded of any help I get in the garden from Barry. He does large projects now and again that he fancies doing. He has decided I need a fence behind my compost bins. It would be great......I will keep you updated on this one.

Good grief the poor man looks knackered - I hope you're very very good to him...

Well, at least he is appreciated.

Wow. What a hero. Mine is self employed and a workaholic. He is in his workshop nearly everyday till 10pm 7 days a week. He does the odd bit in the garden but then can't wait to get back to work so the garden is more or less left to me. But I can't complain as all his hard work pays the bill and with this move has ment that I gave up my job and now just answer the phone and make appointments for him, so I can be in the garden most days with the phone next to me. It has also ment the my daughter moved up and now lives just around the corner and has joined our company so he's my hero. :-)

Why don't you get him a six pack, he looks like he needs it. Also, make sure he gets a good physical exam soon.

mine is a gem most of the time. [not today though- he decided to replace the shed roof. I am more than happy to be his labourer but when he throws wood down and snaps one of the bearded iris flower stems off I get a bit hacked off] he also managed to hit me with a lump of wood. grrrrr despite the gloves I have several spelks to try and get out.

lol Men are the unsung heroes in everything don't you know! I have the opposite problem the Oh thinks everything is either a Lupin / Rhododendron or Aqualegia :/ And I don't fancy my chances of getting her to replace the roof on the shed either lol

lol Vic and Oliveoil! My OH is also a gem in the garden. He doesn't interfere in the planting or design, but he cuts the hedge (quite a task), builds planters whenever asked nicely, and is really good at erecting Arbours etc. He doesn't have a clue how to take a 'day off' which is hilarious but also quite handy sometimes!! But I must say, I think Poppyfield's OH above is an absolute hero! There's a lot of love in that home! :))
