Its common spurge, or Euphorbia, can't remember its full Latin name. Actually, looking at it again, it might be Yellowort. Do those flower heads open up to yellow flowers?

Thanks Bamboo, I have checked the buds/pods which upon opening produce white milky sap and contain 3 large seeds, cannot recall the flower colour will see what happens when it develops

Sounds more like Euphorbia, from the "milky sap" comment. Be careful with that, it can irritate the skin on some people.

its a caper spurge also called molewort. def be careful about the sap. not good when exposed to the sun on delicate skin.

Euphorbia Lathyrus, Bamboo. If you let it set seed, Cosby you'll have eveny more of them next year - and the next year - and the next year. The seed seems to stay viable for a longgggggggggg time.
