Mystery plant
Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
This has salvia type flowers, very soft bluey-green foliage (no scent) reminiscent of a euhorbia. It's sown itself in my garden and I'm not sure what it is

I'm not sure what it is either but it makes a home in my garden also. It is a nice flower but does seed about readily so I pull it up as soon as the flowers are going over. It still keeps coming back, though.

I got the purple and the pink one - I too didn't know what plant was - thanx Wagger.
Littlegreen, does yours have a lot of buzzing bumlbebees buzzing all over them all the time?

Also, thanks Wagger. Yes, I can now see that it could be a Linaria.

Thanks so much Wagger - mystery solved! I shall probably let it self sow a little as it's perfect for my colour scheme, low maintenance and yes, Ualda, the bees love it!

I have this as well. Insects love it and it fills gaps.
I pull it up when I have something better to plant.

I have this too, its common name is Toadflax.

Another advantage of this is that it will grow on absolutely nothing - like Buddleia. Pops out of pavement cracks with gay abandon.

I'm not sure if that that is an advantage, Wagger, just means it will anywhere :-(

I'm thinking of people with difficult bits in their gardens, Bulbaholic - rough, rocky, dry, you name it, but only invasive if you let it be.

It's linaria purpurea - there's a pink and a white one too. It's a perennial and will self-seed everywhere if you let it.
