I planted some blue hydrangea but they have come up pink, I am told that is because I have no aluminum sulfate in the soil, is this correct? because i have alot of plants around them I am going to put two in tubs for next year. Some-one told me if I put some Aluminum filings in the soil, this would help. Any suggestions

You can buy an acid feed which you mix in the watering can to put around the hydrangea in situations like this. It's always possible, though, that the hydrangea you bought was mislabelled - if its a blue that's in alkaline soil, the flowers should look a sort of lilacy, pinky, colour with a dull greenish blue tinge. If yours is a clear and bright pink, it's likely the plant was not as labelled.
