Hi Okiegardengirl and welcome to GoY we don't have 'zones' in the UK as this is a maritime climate. Perhaps some of our US GoYers can help you.

As Moon grower says, we don't have Zones here in the UK.
but .. I do have a Viburnum which i grow in a pot, It isn't a Tinus, but the scent is wonderful.

Viburnum tinus will Flourishing in full sun or part shade, viburnum's will tolerate most soils other than very wet soils, being well suited to chalk soils. Avoid planting extremely hot droughty or dry exposed, cold areas. Prune out old and dead wood in winter and trim shape during maintenance.

Plant Strengths: Sun loving draught tolerant plant; Scented blossom; All round tough plant suitable for problem areas; Ideal for fast growing screening; Provides valuable winter interest; Evergreen foliage for all year round colour and screening; Suitable for container growing; Suitable for exposed coastal planting; Fruit / berry producing; Attractive form or foliage for all year interest; Tolerates cold exposed locations; Suitable for hedging or topiary; Tolerates heavy clay soils; Suitable for planting in full shade; Produces winter flowers.

Does not tolerate very dry or very wet soils.

Most of Britain is Zone 8, with a tiny bit up in Scotland in Zone 7, and the west of Ireland and a small area of West Wales and West England in Zone 9. Plants are never sold here by Zones, and this system is not generally used here. I just happen to have a book on container gardening that shows the zones for the UK and most of Europe!

Some people say the climate here has some similarities to that in the Pacific Northwest.

It might in London but not in the north of Scotland
