I have a large 3ft span specimen yucca that will go haywire and not look so good, is it possible to separarate the heads from the centre and make new plants with individual heads?

I presume this is one of the hardy species such as Y. gloriosa or Y. filamentosa?

The "mother plant" (the large central one) produces offsets readily from thick short rhizomes just below the surface. These usually develop quite quickly, especially after the mother plant flowers as this then usually dies. These offsets could be separated though it is usually quite a task they being very thick and quite woody!

How do I say thanks?
