Also got this one - another bargain at £2.50 - can anyone ID it for me? Although it looks the same as the other one, the structure of the flower stem appears to be different, which makes me think it may be a different species? Thanks folks... :-)

Hi Lori - ha ha ha, yes I just can't resist a bargain - to be honest, if I bought all my plants at the full prices, I think I would soon be bankrupt! Thanks for the advice - I've googled Oncidium and, yes, that looks to be what it is. Many thanks :-)

Think you ve been had Sid looks like oil seed rape to me.Orchid indeed mind you sat night had a few beers could be anything yellow.

I believe this is a type of orchid, our stores in NC have lots of these. The leaves are characteristic of orchids. It is quite pretty!

Oh Sid, you and your bargains!!... It's a lovely looking thing for sure, but I don't recognize it right off... flowers are not that easy to see in this pic, however.. are the flowers slipper-like? or is that just a very extended lip? Give it a google! Try looking up Oncidium Dancing Ladies...
