I have a tiny bay tree just 4" tall but with a good root system. I have just potted it on quite a bit in John Innes no 3. Will it survive the winter? Any tips generally re. bay trees?

Billa, my suggestion would be to wrap the pot with bubble wrap and cover the little bay with garden fleece. The bubble wrap should help to protect the root system from frost and the fleece should protect from cold winds. Good luck. I had a lovely bay tree which was left when we moved house, and much appreciated by the new owners.
