How do you stop a lemon plant growing too tall?

I have a lemon plant grown from seed, in the kitchen window, as that is the only place receiving the light it needs. It will soon be too big to sit comfortably there.

If you nip out the growing tip it will stop it growing too tall. When a side branch gets as long as you want, nip out that growing tip. keep doing this to keep the tree in the shape you want.
Every year, trim roots and repot into the same pot.
Congratulations! You are now growing a potential bonsai lemon tree.
Well done!
