I have heard there are many uses for old carpet in the garde . Could I use it on my vegie patch over winter to keep the weeds down for next year.( specially bind weed).
My patch is about 16 ft X 9 ft and is empty now but for everlasting spinage down one side

Good idea. Bind weed will still come back, put some sticks in the ground for the bindweed to climb then spray with a systemic weedkiller. Carpet is also good for covering a compost heap.
