Hi Kidsgran, yes that's exactly what I am doing now, much more comfy, and of course you can pull the pics to as large as you like! So far, I'm not able to upload pics with it, but maybe that's just me.....:0))

You can't download pictures to GOY from an ipad or iphone. I'm not sure if things will change. All my family are now using them but I decided to stick with my laptop for now. If GOY changes then I will reconsider.
I can download direct from my android phone so i presume that android tablets will be ok. Hopefully someone will confirm this.

Hi Kidsgran yes an i-Pad is a wonderous beast BUT your only word processing tool is Pages and currently you can't upload images from to GoY or most places. Bulba and I both have laptops and view the i-pad as an accessory to...

It was suggested last week,that I might consider an i-pad,instead of replacing my almost defunct laptop..but the options for the latter outweighed the benefits of the i-pad for me..but as MG says,a useful accessory...

Most useful when travelling or on holiday as much lighter to carry than a lap top. Unless you buy one with G3 and pay a monthly fee same as for your mobile you will only have internet access when you are near a wifi hub. Battery life is 9+ hours.

Use Facetime over wifi and you can video call another iPad or IPhone for free anywhere in the world.

Is it easy to do Kildermorie?

Mines a sony tablet.....wonderful for in the garden in the summer......and for sittind in front of the fire tonight......takes good photo's too

Hi kidsgran, I have an iPad, I use it all the time. I have just tried to add a photo from it and have managed to no problem. My step son updated my iPad for me the other week, I can add photo's on here and face book now, where as before I couldn't. I believe the update was called an iOS update, but I did lose quite a few of my apps in the process!

Mine is a Samsung and I wouldn`t do without it now, can`t get it to do the ironing or make a cup of tea though, lol.

Importants bits are: use the email address designated for FaceTime of the person you are calling.

On iPad, iPod touch, and FaceTime for Mac, you need to add a person as a contact using the FaceTime or Contacts app before you can call them.

Tried a Laptop, hated it. Tried a Tablet, utterly loathed it. Stick with my PC? You bet!

Love my laptop, it allows me to work on 4 hour train journeys and the like. Not fully got to grips with i-Pad yet but will try out next week when I go to Edinburgh...

Use FaceTime a lot Kilda, our son is in Sydney and we text on the IPad to see if we're both around, then do FaceTime. He took us for a tour of daughter in laws mums house, it was so funny especially when mum in law showed us round her kitchen....lol!
