I wondered the same and thought my computer was on the blink! Yes staying out of the cold and previously suffering from the dreaded norovirus which lasted a week. Ground too frosty for a fork.

Careful not to wake Andrewr up , Beegee , he might rush out into the cold !
Too busy thinking of things that we ought to be doing , probably .
The season's greetings to you , anyway .

I have some questions:
How do I make myself finish writing my cards?
Why didn't I finish moving my plants around in the autumn?
How do I remember all the useful tips on here that I forgot to write down?
Why did I spend so much time on Goy that I gave myself carpel tunnel syndrome???
And didn't I do well to remember to buy new sheets while in town today, after months of trying to remember?
Lots more but that will do for starters ...Happy Christmas!
(Not sure what the norovirus is Cammomile but glad you are feeling better now anyway.)

Couldn't even look at food let alone prepare it! Yes I was scrupulously clean and thank goodness no-one else has caught it from me. It horrifies me that its probably caused by people not washing their hands. Good old radio 4 Bilbo!

I have been on a walking regime as you all know with my training for climbing Ben Nevis which I did and so proud .
That I keep walking miles and miles before any gardening but now its been so icy and slippy underfoot not been able to do my favourite walks or my fast power walking .
Now reading books read 7 in last 3 weeks.
And 2 this week over 4days. Reading Val Wood books.
This week used the libary for books.
Greenhouse doors are frozen birds are so hungry.
My morning walk today is a dentist appointment.

I've been on here every day especially in the last 10 weeks as I had a problem with my heart. All sorted out and no major trouble, thankfully. While under investigation not allowed to dig etc. The site does quieten down at this time of year.

Commiserations to Goyers afflicted in various ways.
Haven't had the dreaded infective winter vomiting (my GP's lovely description) for decades. It struck on Christmas Eve and I remember it still.
Hope everyone enjoys the festive season and that the weather allows for walking/gardening/whatever you wish to do.
Love x

Gardening going nuts, here in the desert, but, due to budgetary crunch, am wandering the city looking for free wi-fi, instead of posting from home. Just call me "The Nerd Without Cable"! ; )

I had noticed that about the questions page but the blogs have certainly started getting busy with the seasons greetings coming fast and furious now..
There are lots of good people who answer our questions, members who don`t appear very often on the blogs but always to be found ready to give advice and answer the many questions, it is very much appreciated and so much a part of Goy..
Merry Christmas to you All...Sue xx

I too have noticed a downturn in activity. I put it down to the weather.
But, with due deference to all the above, I submit to the idea that it is 'seasonal'.
Happy (and Merry), Christmas to one and all.
...now where did I put that seed catalogue..?

A great shrub, long may it flourish. Best Christmas wishes to everyone, and yes Pamg, I'm afraid you're right. Hope all the sickies are better and no one else catches it.
Congratulations Scotcat - well done indeed, I don't know how you did it.
Glad you're OK Seaburngirl. And more sympathy for poor Spritz - roll on Spring and drier weather.
Jent, water on the knee is better than water on the brain!

When going out, on buses, in shops, anywhere there are people, I always use a Boots Extra Protection Antiseptic Disinfectant Wipe. I clean inside my nose, as the soft skin is where viral infections settle, and all inside my ears. Since doing this I havent caught any infections, which I was very prone to years ago.
I use Clean n Fresh Kitchen Cleaner with Bleach on all my kitchen work surfaces, as it has a powerful antibacterial action. Cant remember where I bought it, but its made by McBride, details www.cleannfresh.com for stockists.
