My snowdrops were a flop this year, only 5 flowered in the whole batch, wondered if I moved them to a sunnier spot that they would do better next year as they are in a shaded area also soil keeps rather wet there. Jackie :o)

I moved mine last year,Jackie,for the same reason,and they have done really well this year..it was too wet in the north facing border..shame I can't see them for the snow!.

They are deciduous woodland bulbs and that is where they do best. They like the light and the moisture available in Spring and the removal of excess water by the trees for the rest of the year.

Snowdrops don't need sun particularly but they do not like being in wet ground when they are dormant so yes you might want to move them to a dryer spot once tehy've died back.
