I planted a Monarda last autumn and,so far,it hasn`t shown much sign of life.Is it late growing or has it not survived the cold weather?

two of mine have just started to show growth whilst several have romped away. so give it another couple of weeks before consigning it to the 'garden in the sky'

I don't have much luck with these as they seem to get mildew and fade away. ( I am on heavy clay!)

I also planted Monarda last year (plugs from Unwins), and they have hardly grown at all in my clay soil . . . but I live in hope!

Thankyou for all your replies. The Monarda is not on clay but on well-drained soil, with a sunny aspect.I will keep my fingers crossed.
