This beautiful clematis is growing at Port Sunlight, over the railings. Would it be potentially as prolific on a stone wall in mid-France, I wonder? (I'm told it's scented, as well... I've rather fallen in love with it! - anyone know what it's called?
(PS: "Port Sunlight" was a misnomer on Tuesday, alas - and Shropshire today ain't getting much warmer! So much for the English Spring - where'd it go?!)

Hi
I live about a mile away from Port Sunlight and I believe the Clematis is a Montana Mayleen or Myleen. It is lovely but I think the fragrance is very light. If you want a highly scented clematis, try Triternata Rubra (almond scented)
Sorry the weather was bad for you when you visited.
Best regards
