I take it you have dug your pond .Lay the liner in your pond with sufficient edgingon the higher surface, lay the bricks on the edge of the liner.if you have got any more queries just shout

have at least a 12" flap of liner over the surface. if you are using bricks as an edging I would put them edgeways on so an inch over hangs with the other 8-9" over the liner . then trim the liner to fit.
