Sandra, you can cut it back now if you want, but best left till end of Feb, beginning of March....I'm sure it will be fine.

hi blue thanx for addvice and will wait as you say a bit longer :o))

16 Feb, 2010

Where you live, Sandra, I'd be inclined to wait till end of March, unless we suddenly have a balmy spring...

ok will do bamboo, its still very cold here, i have lots of dead foilage but have been leaving it to keep new shoots warm even though it does look messy,

Blackpool....hardly the arctic is it!

lol blue no but it has bitter winds and lots of rain, you couldnt cope with it blue... lol

Compared to London, it is, BS - I note every year that Farnham in Surrey is at least two weeks behind us here in Spring, never mind Blackpool

:o)) thanx bamboo

You're just splitting hairs Bamboo... you can cut back these grasses in late Feb, early March, or late March if you really want to, the vagaries of the British climate will make not one jot of difference to the well being of this particular grass.... but then again what do I know....only been growing grasses for 25 years.

Poor Sanbaz, trying to keep the peace, don't worry about it my dear - I'm not in the least concerned if Bluespruce holds an opinion, lol
