D.G.Hessayon does a 'Rose Expert' book. These are very informative and brief and inexpensive. It depends if you want cultivation advice or lovely photos. The David Austin rose book is lovely but mostly deals with his varieties.

Try Dr Hessayon's Expert series , if it's advice on caring for them that you want.

Which ever you buy, I'd go for a recent publication as things have moved on since I bought mine.

If needs be contact Cants of Colchester they specialise in Roses, they may be able to help you out .
If they can't then they might be able to put you onto someone who can help you out.
You can search for them online.
