Has anyone tried to propagate plants using oasis? I either read an article or saw it on a programme somewhere and wondered how well it worked if anyone's tried it? I am experimenting with some cuttings I took of Cornus dogwood - the bright red one... I can see lots of shoots starting but no roots as yet.

Thanks Doctorbob1. Do you think they're ready to plant out yet or should I keep them as they are for another month?

Yes, grow them on where they are, feed with a weak solution of Tomarite every two weeks. When the ground has warmed up (it may be more than a month in your area), plant out, any cuttings not started can be removed.

You will have to plant the whole piece in the ground to avoid root damage. You may then have a clump of cornus.
