Normally I prune my Roses in Nov. However I still have some roses blooming and now all the leaf buds are appearing. Do I wait until a Feb. prune or do I do it asap please?

I didn't know that the temperature drops as the days get longer, but I've never understood much concerning meteorology. Professional gardeners need to know about atmosphere and weather, I realise that now. Thankyou for another pearl of knowledge Bamboo.

Merlin the old saying is "As the days grow longer the cold grows stronger"

Wish I'd read this earlier, I was out earlier this afternoon cutting down a group of ground cover roses! There has been such a spate of high winds recently they were thrashing about and stems were splitting, so I figured I was doing the right thing, but as with Miggy, there are buds ready to leaf out already.
Oh well, at least these were cheapies.

Best thing with roses may well be to shorten the stems enough to avoid too much wind damage and then prune properly late Feb of March.

As Michael Flanders would say....
January brings the snow
Makes your feet and fingers glow
February's Ice and sleet
Freeze the toes right off your feet

Teadrinker - won't kill 'em completely, even if it does get cold, but if it does, you might find rather more dieback than you'd like, which must all be removed when winter is finally over.

Nope, don't do it now, just wait till end of February or very early March. If you do it now you'll encourage even more leaf breaking, and as we've got at least 2 months of winter left, anything can happen - it could get very cold and snowy for all we know, though it seems hard to imagine currently, and all your new growth will shrivel. Don't forget, as the days get longer, we get colder... initially.
