Hi Gudmundur, I have taken a few acorns from "Major Oak" which is where Robin Hood is supposed to be buried. If you would like I can collect some more and send them to you through the post?
Robin Hood is a folklore hero who stole from the rich and gave it to the poor and was reputedly to have lived very near me. Major Oak is around 400 years old and is still growing strong.
If you would like some please send me a "PM" with your address and I will be only to happy to post some off to you.
P.S. they are "Antler" oaks

Assuming you're coming into Heathrow, I can think of one or two garden centres (not the same as nurseries). The Royal Horticultural Society has the Wisley Plant Centre in Wisley, Surrey (about 45 minutes from Heathrow) - their telephone number is 014832 211113 so you can check what they've got before going. Otherwise, Adrian Hall's Hanworth Garden Centre, Feltham Hill Road TW13 7NA (near Feltham, Middlesex) is within 30 minutes of Heathrow. Their phone number is 0208 751 7600. There are one or two nurseries near Denham, off the A40 going to Uxbridge - will try to get addresses.
