i have a ACER palmatum 'deshojo' japenese mapel in a pot 20 litre pot. it survived a very bad winter, but now has leaves curling and one lower branch looks like dying! it is well watered and 3 1/2 ft tall, and 2yrs old.
we had another acer (looks the same, but not sure of the proper name) that the frost killed, which is 4ft away and in the ground. am i over watering it or should i move it to shade.?
please help. i dont want to lose another lovely tree.
thanks donny.

thanks moon grower.
im just glad its in a pot, and be moved easy. this site is far better than a cosmetic site i've used. i guess we care more for our plants than make-up and nails!! thanks again.

If it is in full sun then yes you need to move to part shade, give the heat you are getting down there it will need a lot of water - probably more than you think it does.
