hi not sure if you can advise,but here goes.
i have a conifer tree in my garden,i do not know what type it is but it is round and flat about two feet tall,and it is browning at the tip edges as well as underneath,is it dying?

Did it get really dry at any point? Even well established ones suffer in very dry seasons. I lost a lovely one a couple of years ago .

Hi, could be Aphids or Fungus. The Fungus is normally found at the base of the tree but can spread to any height. Also scale insects are attracted to certain species of Conifers. Try spraying the tree with soapy water. Hope this helps.
