Keep it somewhere frost free rather than as a houseplant - the leaves die down completely over winter and the plant starts growing anew in spring.

Ah! Well its worth keeping for next year, and you can keep it for a while as it is, even outside, until it starts to die back - you'll probably find it needs a bigger pot next year, its amazing how much the bulb grows...

Maybe it thinks its spring now with new leaves
