Has anybody here bought plants through GOY? I wondered how good they were compared to local garden centres.

I didn´t know that you could buy plants from here...or maybe I´m wrong. As far as I know GOY isn´t a garden centre.

There used to be a link to Crocus, for all I know, still is, and that's who you're actually buying from, not GoY as such, Arbuthnot, GoY is just a sort of shop front. Crocus are also behind Waitrose Online plants, and those outdoor plants in waitrose stores, but I think they're expensive, specially online... if you want online plants, Jacksons Nurseries are very reasonably priced (although sometimes the plants don't look great when they arrive, but I've never had any die on me, ever and I've used them a lot).

I would suggest that anyone who would want to know about the purpose of GOY would hit " About Us " at the bottom of this page.

Hi. yes I've bought from Crocus, and the quality is usually good, you get a 1 year guarantee, and if something does go wrong, they refund you, with no quibbling, there is a set charge for postage, which if I remember rightly is £4:95, no matter how big or small your order is, whereas another nursery that advertises on here, charge you about £15 for orders up to £50, and the more you order the more they charge, plus their prices are higher than Crocus as well, I usually spend between £100 and £150 to get the best value, I've no complaints with anything I've had from them plantwise, I wouldn't buy tools or anything like that from them. they are overpriced, Derek.

HELLO ROGI!! Go to " about us" at the bottom of the page, then hit "garden shops" which you will find underlined in that section and you will find all the advertisers.

Hi Rogi, or look at the top of the page, where it says 'garden centre' Derek.

Yep, in the green bar at the top - garden centre's the last tab.

I don't have any garden centre's tab...
Members, Garden Pictures, Questions, blogs and plants are all I've got and all I've ever had.

Hi, I think maybe the garden centre option only applies to members based in the uk, perhaps it hs something to do with the export of plant material, Derek.

I don't think so Derek, when I was based in France I had the plant centre in my taskbar, and a long list of favourites in there!
