My orchid’s finished flowering please can someone advise me what to do with the stem now?

Sometimes I cut them down to above one of those white joints and see if they start to flower again but if the stalks look as though they ar dead I cut them right down. Don't forget to water them weekly by leaving them as they are in their outer pots, right up to the base of the leaves. Leave them for at least an hour and then fully drain - it works for me and I now have 8 rescue orchids which I have coaxed back to life. You can give them orchid feed when they are not flowering.
