I have some small potatoes that I dug up 2-3 months ago that are now chitting. I have no idea what they are. Is there any point in me setting them now

only if you can keep them frost free, otherwise rub the shoots off and cook and enjoy.

Thanks S, only this lunchtime my friend Stan’s wife told me if they were chitting to throw them away. I shall cook them as you described.

Only throw them out if they turn green. Eileen is on point. They should be eaten immediately otherwise store in a dark, cool & dry location. Bright light will cause them to turn green then you can't eat them.

Thanks B, the spuds are in the bottom of a cupboard and are not green at all, I plan eating them tomorrow.

How do I say thanks?
