I have an upright cotoneaster with arching branches that is about 4 feet tall. It has slightly outgrown it's space and at present it is looking a little bit sad and hungry. Is it possible to hard prune to the ground and let it grow again. Or what else would you suggest?

« Is ' No Mow May' a gimmick ? I fail to understand what it will achieve.
yes give it a good prune, id probably take 2/3rds off, go down to 1/3, feed and water well.
I find they are as tough as old boots.
