Bay tree problem
By Gardenadvice
United Kingdom
I have a bay tree is in the ground. Some of the leaves are fine, healthy and green. However, a large number of them are small yellow and curled over. On closer inspection I did see some very small, greyish, mite type insects. I have no idea what they are or how to get rid of them. Any ideas ? thanks

I fear this is a frequnt occurence with Bay trees. I remove any of the damaged leaves to prevent the Mites or Aphids from spreading. I don't like spraying where leaves might be used for cooking.,. But imagine a systemic spray would get rid of them .Make sure you remove them in the Autumn,so they aren't there for the Spring.
